Julia Terry

Hello My Name Is...

Julia Terry

I teach 2nd/3rd mathematics and science at Meadows of Dan Elementary.

I am a graduate of Patrick County High School.
I attended Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina.  While there, I was a double major in Spanish and English and received a Bachelor of Arts.  I worked in the private sector for a number of years.  I decided that I wanted to teach.  In the summer of 2004, I enrolled in the Elementary Education program offered by Lees-McRae College at Surry Community College.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in May of 2006.

I started my teaching career in Patrick County in August 2006 as a fourth grade teacher at Blue Ridge Elementary.  The following year, I was the ESL teacher for the elementary schools in the county.  I decided I wanted to return to the classroom, so in August 2008, I started teaching third grade at Woolwine Elementary.  I transferred to Meadows of Dan Elementary in August 2010 and began teaching third grade.

I live in Meadows of Dan with my husband, Ronald, and our two children - Lillian and Greely.
