Hello My Name Is

Patricia Tatum

I am the new Fourth Grade Teacher at Meadows of Dan Elementary, and I am very excited to begin this new school year with my students and their parents. I look forward to getting to know each of you!

I was raised in Patrick County almost my whole life. I went to Stuart Elementary School and graduated from Patrick County High School in 2009. I received by Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts with a minor in Elementary Education from Ferrum College. I attended Ferrum College from August 2009- December 2012. 

I have worked in the Patrick County School System since March 2013. In March 2013, I was hired as Meadows of Dan Elementary School's Algebra Readiness Tutor. This position was a great experience where I was able to work with upper elementary school age students. In August 2013, I was offered a job as a Special Educator at Stuart Elementary. During this time I was able to see a different side to education that I had not previously had the opportunity. This was the BEST learning experience; it was hard, but very rewarding!
